Our client is a specialist designer and manufacturer of bespoke high pressure pumping equipment based in the South West Midlands. They supply to a wide range of industries from Automotive (BMW, Honda, Toyota, & Land Rover) to Offshore Oil & Gas (BP, Total, Shell & Talisman).
Their focus is at the high end of the market where their 30 year history and reputation for quality and reliability has established them as market leader. Project values range from ??50,000 up to ??5 million.
As one of two Service Engineers reporting to the Service Manager you will responsible for supporting customers with commissioning, repair, service and equipment demonstrations. In this important role you will need to have excellent engineering and organisational skills and you will be customer focused to ensure that they maintain first class customer relationships.
The position will require you to travel internationally, including off-shore assignments, sometimes at very short notice and sometimes for extended periods. To be able to fulfil this requirement you will need to;
- hold a recognised mechanical engineering qualification
- be certified medically fit to undertake offshore assignments
- be trained to undertake offshore assignments
- hold a valid passport and driving licence
- be fully conversant with relevant health and safety legislation and quality systems
- be comfortable with unsociable hours of work and periods away from home / work - base
As the successful applicant you will need to have substantial experience of service engineering work involving high pressure water pumps, electric or diesel driven rotating equipment and the ability to work remotely and independently on your own initiative.
In return they offer highly competitive rates of pay and additional premium payments for offshore and international work. This permanent position is Worcester based (with travel) and with the benefits of pension scheme, life assurance and income protection scheme.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
