My client is a global provider of smart and efficient lighting solution. Due to continual growth they are now looking for an experienced embedded software design engineer to develop and design software and associated hardware across a range of products for the lighting industry.
 

Purpose of Position - (Mission, main objectives/tasks):

• From initial outline specification, to design and develop software and associated hardware across a range of electronic products for the lighting industry
• Ability to write memory efficient code and identify minimum processor requirements for a given application
• To develop flow charts and specifications that clearly outlines the functionality of the software
• To work within ISO quality procedures conforming to ISO9001:2008 and SW coding standards
• Simulation and test of software in order to improve reliability and compatibility within products
• Support of pc-related activities in the laboratory
• Support of production test procedures

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• ‘A’ level education
• Minimum HND Electronics with microcontroller experience
• Minimum of 1 years experience in embedded SW environment with "C language"
• Good communication skills
• PC literate
• Pro-active

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree level Electronics/Microcontroller related topics
• Ability to work to tight timescales
• Experience of working to ISO 9001:2008
• Adaptive to a dynamic multi-product environment
