Business Development Assistant – Residential Mortgages

Incorporated in 1954, Secure Trust Bank is a well-established provider of quality banking solutions, including a range of lending solutions and savings products. They are now looking for a Business Development Assistant to join their dedicated team.
If you’re a passionate customer service professional looking to broaden your skill-set, this is a superb opportunity to contribute to the growth of Secure Trust Bank’s brand new residential mortgages business.
Within an open and progressive environment, you’ll have the chance to enhance your sales abilities and experience of implementing outbound campaigns and account management.
As a Business Development Assistant, you’ll be tasked with providing a high level of sales support to Secure Trust Bank’s field-based Business Development Managers.
Striving to increase business volumes, new registrations and number of broker advocates, you will:
- Plan and execute outbound calls to develop strong working relationships with key decision makers
- Respond to all correspondence in-line with agreed SLAs
- Help to register new brokers and develop new business from key partner firms
- Assist with promotional and research related tasks
- Help Business Development Managers with case updates, application escalations and any complaints
- Identify any gaps in procedures and practices to support continuous improvement activities
- Complete all tasks in-line with the intermediary governance and monitoring framework
Interested? To be considered, you’ll need:
- Significant experience in a customer services role, gained within financial services, ideally in a lending environment
- A CeMap qualification or the willingness to gain this
Enthusiastic and eager to learn, as a Business Development Assistant, you will need outstanding communication skills, a great eye for detail and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Experience of telephone-based sales support would be beneficial to your application, as would a strong understanding of the mortgage intermediary market or residential lending policies.
