Location -Bristol

I am actively assisting the leading largest inward investor in the UK defence sector group with their searches for a Commercial Manager - Aerospace / Defence.

My clients is involved in niche product manufacturing supplying into the global prestige players within the defence and Aerospace sectors.

The Commercial Manager - Aerospace / Defence will in the Support and services side of the business specifically being a part of the Typhoon Support IPT management team. The Commercial Manager - Aerospace / Defence will also be responsible for ensuring that my client continues to provide leadership in the radar and DASS consortia.

Key Responsibility Areas for the Commercial Manager - Aerospace / Defence:

You will work within a multi-disciplined Integrated Project Team (IPT), where you will act as the Commercial point of contact for all Typhoon Avionic support customers.
You will be accountable for the Commercial aspects for bids and proposals.
Act as the Customer's key point of contact for all contractual matters
Negotiate at executive level, terms and conditions for the provision of our services
Manage the cross LoB Commercial team for Typhoon support
Help secure new Typhoon support business through: developing the right commercial strategies, business models, business terms, pricing approaches, and performance
Manage contractual, risk and performance post contract award to deliver expected business performance.
Manage people and team
Act as a key member of the Typhoon Support IPT Leadership team
Develop customer relationships, exploit opportunities

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required for the Commercial Manager - Aerospace / Defence:

?? Familiarity/experience with Typhoon support desirable

?? A self-starter and a starter finisher

?? Ability to work unsupervised and within virtual teams

?? Proven Team building skills

?? Gravitas in previous roles

?? Significant experience in Defence contracting, in the Commercial discipline .

?? Excellent Relationship building skills with cross-functional colleagues, customers and suppliers.

?? Excellent negotiating skills at senior level
