Oxford Innovation’s Business and Innovation Centres division operates a network of centres that provide flexible office and laboratory space and business support services to companies throughout the UK.  Our clients are start-ups, high growth SMEs, investors and also public sector organisations that contract with us to deliver innovation centres and programmes to business.  In the past three years we have nearly doubled our number of centres and now manage twenty-two centres across the UK for a variety of public and private sector clients, providing space and support to nearly 1000 exciting, innovative and growing companies.

We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and friendly Centre Support Assistant to be part of the team within the Cherwell Innovation Centre, based at Upper Heyford in Oxfordshire.  This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours over three days per week - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Our Centre Support Assistants play a key role as a support for the Centre management team. As the front line of the Centre they manage the busy reception area, make sure that the conference rooms are set up, Centre administration and managing our Social Media sites.  No two days are the same and you will enjoy the chance to work with lots of different people in a varied, fast-moving environment. 

The most important thing we look for in our Centre Support Assistants is a willingness to go the extra mile to deliver a great customer service.  The following skills and experience are also important!

  • Multi-tasking in a busy and demanding customer focused environment.
  • Positive attitude/self-motivated.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Takes pride in personal appearance.
  • An eye for detail, along with good a working knowledge of Word and Excel desirable.
  • Enjoys developing self and learning both informally and formally.
  • Administration / Customer Service / Receptionist experience will be helpful.
  • A creative flair is desirable.
