The Tool Room Bench Hand is a key role within the machining department and has a direct influence on the quality of components received from the Machine Operators. Primarily, you will be responsible for deburring machined components from the CNC machines, using a variety of hand tools such as; grinders, sanding discs, sanding wheels and stones.

Milling, grinding or CNC experience would be beneficial however this is by no means essential – all that they ask is that you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to use a range of hand tools such as grinders, sanders and drill mounted grinding wheels. With good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work alone or as part of a team, you will have an understanding of the importance of ‘Right First Time’ and the ability to read engineering drawings. Candidates must also be prepared to work a variety of shift patterns and be flexible with regard to overtime and working in other areas when required.
