Care in Mind provide residential services for young people aged 16-25 years old who have been discharged from psychiatric inpatient stays or secure children’s homes.

The young people we care for often require a high level of support and dynamic approach to risk management in order to support problems they may have with self-harming, behaviour and emotional regulation.

Our aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to live in a non-secure community setting and to achieve their individual goals in preparation for transition to adult life.

As part of our continued growth we are now looking to recruit Team Leaders in our residential home in Preston (F/T £17,800-£21,477 dependent on skills and experience)

Responsibilities of a Team Leader:

- To act as a member of the team and assist the management staff in giving the highest standard of care possible to all the young people, closely following individual care plans and programmes.

- To provide supervision for the Support Workers and assist the Registered Manager with management responsibilities

- To take individual/group responsibility in ensuring the running of the home to its highest possible standard.

Requirements of a Team Leader:

- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care for children and young people (or willingness to work towards).

- Experience in working within residential services for children/young people

- Awareness and basic understanding of the Legislation and Guidance relevant to young people in residential care.

- The ability to supervise a staff team.
