Transport Administrator / Planner - Isle of Grain

This fast growing reinforcing steel fabricator, located on the Isle of Grain, requires a Transport Planner/Administrator to join their team.

They require an enthusiastic positive person to work on their own initiative within a busy transport office, managing 12-15 trucks and 60 trailers.

Key responsibilities involve:

- Planning and coordinating hauliers/drivers and loads in most efficient way daily
- Route planning
- Manage transport costs and improving KPI's
- Recruitment and development of staff
- Communicating with production department to ensure smooth operation of deliveries to clients
- Ensuring compliance at all times
- Reporting daily/weekly costs as well as recommendations for improvement

Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar planning role is essential.

It is highly recommended that you have a full driving licence and have access to your own transport as public transport options are limited due to location.

Salary negotiable depending on experience. Just a short commute from Maidstone and Chatham.
