Production Operative - Wire / Sheet

This company is the largest supplier of precious metals to the UK jewellery industry.
They offer a full range of products and services to the trade; including bespoke manufacturing capabilities, stampings, precious metal scrap refining, mint and coin blank service plus the ground breaking Direct Metal Laser Sintering technology.

ROLE:

To process orders and material to meet the agreed customer requirements, on time and within quality specification.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process, inspect, test, finish, pack and prepare in house manufactured product
- Processes involved include rolling, shearing, annealing, cutting, stamping
- Stock control
- Maintain a high standard of quality
- To assist with stock takes as and when required
- Operate equipment to agreed health and safety standards

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

- Previous experience of working with metal
- Previous experience in a production / engineering environment
- Experience of manufacturing sheet and strip; to include experience of rolling, shearing, annealing, cutting and stamping
- Good manual dexterity skills and eye to hand co-ordination
- Able to work with minimal supervision

Their hours of work total 37.5 hours per week with a working a pattern of Monday - Thursday 07.15-15.45, Friday 07.15 - 12.45.
