Our client is a charity based in Dorking, Surrey, helping children in one of the most challenging regions of the world, Darfur, Sudan. For the past 16 years they have been transforming the lives through an unique package of integrated projects.
They are currently seeking a part time Personal Assistant, playing a key role in enabling them to do even more for individuals, showing that sustainable development is possible. You will be determined to make a long term difference in the world and will be helping them to transform the lives of 350,000 Darfur children & their families.
Duties & Responsibilities:
??? Ensure that the administration runs smoothly
??? Work alongside volunteers & their in house team & help to support them
??? Running their events, which will include contacting celebrities & world figures
??? Dedicated to raising awareness & funds to help children
??? Helping to update their website
??? Help identify/attract major sponsors & work directly with them
??? Implement mailings & emailing campaigns
Currently, the major part of their fundraising is carried out by their CEO & hopefully, you will take over this & expand their work even further. Their donors are very special to them & you will be as warm & appreciative of their support as they are!
Candidate Requirements:
??? Experienced, dedicated, with first class people skills
??? Excellent organisational & IT skills, including Office 365, Excel, SKYPE & Dropbox
??? Conversant with social media & able to run crowdfunding campaigns
??? Ability to work on your own, & under pressure
??? Able to use spreadsheets/formulas from their Access database
??? Able to assist with the design of their leaflets
??? Have your own laptop(not Mac), with MS Office, Access, Excel & a good colour printer
It is important that you live within easy distance from Dorking (no more than a one hour drive) so that you can visit the office once/twice a week, but you will be happy to work in your own home, with flexible hours.
