Multi-Site Cash Collector / Cash Collection Officer - Open Day

Job Title: Area Financial Controller (Multi Site Cash Collector)

Location: M4 Corridor

Salary: £18,500 - £21,000 + Company Vehicle

Open Day: The open day is being held at Hallmark Westcliff Hotel, Bournemouth, Durley Chine Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5JS on the 15th March from 8am till 8pm. Candidates are free to drop in at any point during that time and could they bring with them a copy of their CV and a form of ID.

This is a field based role working independently across a designated group of sites which involves collecting cash, replenishing cards from vending machines and processing the money to be banked throughout NHS hospitals in a regional area in line with the company cash handling and security procedure.

The aim is to ensure that the customer has access to Paycards at all vending machine, whilst ensuring that there is no unscheduled/unnecessary interruption of cash flow. To ensure all Banking is prepared and processed in the agreed manner and as per the Cash Handling Policy. To assist in financial audits on site, along with the servicing/repair of Vending Machines as necessary. To liaise with the company (or appropriate service provider) to ensure all arranged Banking and adhoc Banking are collected.

Key Responsibilities:

• To read, sign as understood and agreeing to adhere to the Company Cash Handling and Security Procedures. (
• To take ownership for all keys at each designated site for vending machines, payphones and safes
• To Decommission vending machines in line with the VM Status Report and agreed upper limits for cash, collecting and processing through the internal financial system, all cash collected and cards removed to the Site Safe.
• To Re-commission vending machines effectively from the Safe, with cash and Paycards, to the projected needs of the business.
• To collect cash from Payphones in line with agreed upper cash limits and reporting this cash through internal financial systems to the Safe.
• To perform Safe and Petty Cash Audits to agreed timescales for each site in their control.
• To prepare banking and input through internal financial systems to agreed schedule and ensuring that it is collected by the company in line with expectation
• To notify Finance via the spreadsheet, that banking has been collected.
• To receive Coin (change) deliveries and process these through the company's internal financial systems to accept them into the Safe
• To receive Paycards and process these through internal financial systems, to accept them into the Safe
• To ensure all vending machines maintain maximum uptime and deal with all faults/servicing issues in a timely manner and as per company policy as appropriate and in force at the time.
• To assist and aid in any financial site audits as deemed by Line manager.

• Ability to stay away from home if required in line with the needs of the business.
• Ability to review and interpret reports to aid in delivery of role

• Ability to be flexible and respond to ad hoc requests in line with role.
