Salary: Up to £35,242

Job Type: Full Time, Temporary Contract to 31 May 2018

Our client is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to ending the pain and suffering caused by the condition which makes bones weak and fragile, causing them to break easily. The charity is based in Camerton, near Bath and this key role is part of the busy, vibrant, innovating Strategic Development Team.

Reporting to the Strategic Development Director, they have a temporary need to for a Strategic Development Manager (Research & Planning) to support the Strategic Development function in developing, leading or contributing to projects on the Charity's strategy and work, including cross-organisational working and external engagement.

Job Role:

Flexibility will be key and dependant on what's needed in terms of focus, the role holder could be involved in the research and development of new or existing key work areas in line with the charity's Research Strategy. This will be in addition to understanding changes to the external landscape and their relevance to the Charity's strategy and approach and supporting business planning and reporting.

Production of various key charity reports including CEO and Trustee reports, the end to end management of the charity's research function including coordination work relating to the Research Grants Committee and project management support of the business planning cycle and other projects, are other key components of this role.

The role is a fast-moving one in an organisation where key deliverables are expected so an ability to be flexible, project manage and build key relationships is vital.
