Cover Supervisors required in Wigan
The role will require you to be available on short notice. As a cover supervisor you will be expected to supervise lessons during the short term absence of teaching staff, overseeing the work set by the class teacher, supervising and supporting pupils. You will be expected to cover all classes and all subjects, specialism of these subjects are not necessary.
The School
The School is a large secondary academy based in Wigan. As a Cover Supervisor you be required to be flexible as if you are not needed at this particular school you will be re-deployed to another school in preston or the surrounding area. Schools in the areas listed above vary, and offer cultural diversity. You can be expected to work in schools such as academies, enterprise colleges; faith schools etc.
The Child
It is important to identify the role the school plays in providing a safe learning environment and the opportunity to flourish not only academically but socially. This is emphasised with supply teachers encouraged to provide pastoral care and organise educational visits appropriate to their subject. You will encounter a diverse mix of pupils across our range of Schools. Good behaviour management skills, a passion for teaching and a dynamic and flexible approach will be advantageous for these positions.
