Joining their Plant Engineering Team, the Maintenance Engineer / Technician (Multi-Skilled Plant Technician) will play a critical role in maintaining and improving their specialist equipment.

With the ability to work on your own initiative whilst having the support of a team of Technicians to pull knowledge from, you will work closely with their production team to minimise downtime whilst still achieving production input. Working within all safety policies and procedures, you must ensure all plant and equipment is in a safe and acceptable condition, identifying and specifying spare part requirements for machine repair. Computer literate you will be required to retrieve work and submit feedback on completed jobs via the Company maintenance system.

They are looking for an individual who has a demonstrated track record of making improvements to plant and equipment and who has experience of working in a manufacturing environment. With an exceptional level of customer service and influencing skills, you will have clear and concise communication skills and be able to adapt well to changing situations. With good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise your workload, you will have knowledge of machine control systems and / or mechanical workings and be pro-active in the maintenance and identification of improvements to kit.

Due to the nature of maintenance and unforeseen breakdowns, this role requires the successful candidate to be available to attend major breakdowns as and when they occur – this may include evenings and weekends.
