The successful candidate will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £24,050 - £36,264 per annum.

About the Construction & Built Environment Lecturer role

An exciting opportunity exists within the Faculty of Construction and Motor Vehicle Technology for a high calibre construction professional to join our Built Environment team.

In this exciting role, as our Construction & Built Environment Lecturer you will design and deliver a range of courses within the construction area, with the main focus being on Level 3 and Foundation Degree programmes. You will provide high quality teaching and access to learning in addition to undertaking associated tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the post.

You will also contribute to the continued development of the Faculty, course design, development of programmes and the expansion of the area generally.

What we’re looking for in our Construction & Built Environment Lecturer

The successful candidate will need to be qualified to degree level in a relevant Civil Engineering or a Construction discipline, and be able to demonstrate in depth subject knowledge. Substantial, recent and relevant industrial experience is necessary and experience in training/coaching/mentoring others within the workplace or an educational environment.

Although previous teaching experience would be desirable, appropriate training would be available to a quality candidate who can demonstrate a high level of industrial experience and a passion for educating tomorrow’s construction professions.
