Cost Accountant

Their headquarters are in Liverpool and they design and develop kitchen, dining and cookware products, and supply them nationally and internationally.

Job Description

The cost accountant position is accountable for the ongoing analysis of, Sales and stock information, target costings, projects, margin analysis and the analysis of company spend.

The cost accountant must also construct and monitor data accumulation systems needed to provide costing information to management.

Some years of accounting/finance experience including job costings. BA/BS degree as well as excellent analysis skills and the ability to collaborate with a multi-department team is required. It is also helpful to have experience manipulation large databases.

Warehouse:

• Warehouse operating costs overall and for individual depts.
• US labelling and container Loading
• Additional Customer requirement costs
• Sundry costs
• Delivery costs

Office:

• Overhead costs/comparisons
• Check Landed costs
• QC reclaims compared to costs
• Additional customer requirement costs
• Turnover per staff member head

Sales:

• ASM figures
• NAM figures
• Customer overall GP and costs
• Top 100 customers
• Lost sales

Marketing

• Check actual landed against predicted landed
• Analyse time spent on projects
• Produce analysis of Brands,
• Product sales with GP by Brand
• Product sales with GP by Range and item

Salary - depends on exp
