We are a well-established leading company in the design and manufacture of recycling plant and equipment for the waste recycling industry. A person is required to work in a busy manufacturing facility involved in the manufacture of heavy duty conveyor systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fabrication/welding of mild steel in gauges from 2mm through to 15mm mild steel, sheet, plate and sectional steel, using MIG
- Small amount of aluminium and stainless steel work
- Machinery utilised in the factory includes saws (circular and band), guillotine, press brakes (CNC), flatbed laser cutting
The role would suit a skilled fabricator welder with good knowledge of sheet metal and sectional fabrication work including the fabrication of hopper's, chutes, stairs, platforms etc used to working from engineering drawings.
Skills:
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Training in the use of overhead cranes would be an advantage and the factory is equipped with them for lifting
- Ability to drive a FLT (although not essential)
The hours of work are 07:30 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 11:30 Friday and generally overtime is available through the week including Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
In house safety training is provided along with PPE including overalls and footwear. This is an interesting varied role with a long established (1963) company located in Desborough Northants. A good salary would be commensurate with skills/experience.
