Our client have an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Law Paralegal to join their team.

Job Title: Insurance Law Paralegal

Salary: up to £28k per annum + benefits + further training

Our client is in the top 150 largest law firms in the UK with offices in the North and Midlands but maintaining a truly national presence with an impressive client base. Their Defendant Insurance law division has an ever increasing profile working with top ten insurers, loss adjusters and local authorities and comprises of specialist unites for casualty, disease, large-loss claims, motor and public sector.

As a result of the growth (which resulted in a 4% increase in revenue last year) the practice are now looking to add to their team with an Insurance Law Paralegal.

Insurance Law Paralegal –The Role:

You will be working as a fee earner in the insurance law division of this large successful practice.  You will handle a caseload of prelims, first notification of loss, and claims with the aim of ultimately improving the firm’s relationships with clients.

Insurance Law Paralegal –Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a full understanding of the main areas of insurance law and developments relevant to the roles of claims handling

- Proactively, accurately and efficiently handle prelims, FNOLs and claims for DUAL Speciality Risks

- Accurately complete MI to report both internally and externally

Insurance Law Paralegal –Experience Required:

- Efficient fee earning/claims handling skills

- An understanding of insurance law and minimum of 1 years’ experience in claims handling processes and procedures, ideally defendant side rather than claimant

- Good working knowledge of the EL/PL portal

- The ability to work towards performance and financial targets
