A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a growing packaging manufacturer based in Cricklade, Swindon.

Our client offers a dynamic and challenging environment with a mix of manufacturing, office based work and sales opportunities. As a primarily Business-to-Business (B2B) operation focused on the packaging market in the UK, they are always looking for the right people to add to their close knit team.
Position Summary;
As Warehouse Manager, it will be your responsibility to oversee a team of 1 Supervisor and approximately 6+ full-time staff. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring that the goods are stored efficiently, picked accurately and prepared for dispatch in a timely manner to the customers’ specification.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Oversee the warehouse operations, coordinate daily picking and loading plans ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
• Implement robust goods in quality checks and supplier booking in
• Improving stock accuracy and maintain pro-active stock checking
• Own process improvement for the department, both driving improvements and delegating to the team
• Establish area performance standards and goals and hold the team accountable for delivery;
• Building and developing the warehouse team; ensuring people are adequately trained and held accountable to meet performance criteria
• Ensure all safety requirements and training are adhered to at all times

About you:
The successful candidate will have the required skills and experience to undertake this role, including;
• Previous warehouse management experience including picking/packing, despatch, high bay storage is essential
• Use of IT systems including MS Office and some type of Warehouse location and picking system
• Experience of designing, writing and rolling out new improved operating processes;
• Forklift trained (both Reach and Counterbalance preferred)
• Experience of coaching and mentoring staff
• Lean improvements in a warehouse environment
• KPI / Departmental reporting

Preferred but not necessary experience:
• Implementing new systems into a warehouse environment;
• Leadership / Management qualification (ILM/CMI);
• H&S qualification (IOSH managing safely or similar)
