Assistant Quantity Surveyor 
Andover 
Salary up to £30,000 + Car /Allowance + 25 days Holiday + Pension 
 
A respected regional building contactor with a rich history of delivering new build and refurbishment projects across central and southern England is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. 
 
Their projects range from commercial, education, healthcare and industrial. The value of contracts ranges from £300k to £6 Million. 
 
The role: 
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will quickly become an integral part of the commercial team that helps guide and drive this continuously successful company, that is seeking to further expand and increase its turnover over the next couple of years. 
 
Your duties will include but not limited to: 
Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor. 
Measurement and take offs. 
Paying subcontractors.
Meeting clients on site to discuss live projects and pre-construction phases. 
Assisting in sub-contract procurement and commercial management. 
Management of project costs and timescales. 
Assisting with contractual issues and taking 'lead' when required 
Assisting with subcontractor selection, ongoing accounts, project managers and other key stakeholders 
 
Requirements 
You will have at least 1 years experience in an Assistant/Junior Quantity Surveyor role. 
You will be dedicated and looking to build a stable career. 
You will preferably have a background in main contracting ,residential development or sub contracting. 
Good communication skills 
Good working knowledge of MS Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook).
