Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced HR Advisor to join their growing independent Consultancy based in the West Yorkshire area. The tailored HR service provides support to a range of businesses across several sectors.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone to use their relationship building skills and HR knowledge to help the business to continue to grow.
Position Summary
As HR Advisor, your role will involve providing support and giving advice to clients and their employees on each client’s policies and procedures. You will also take a part in supporting the growth of the business by carrying out sales activity with a view to onboarding new clients. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the end to end recruitment process for our clients, including involvement in interviews
• Attending any employee relations meetings with clients, i.e. disciplinaries, grievances etc.
• Where required, attend clients offices as support or to be visible at clients premises
• To ensure that all administrative tasks are completed, including ensuring employees are on the HR systems where the Consultancy controls the client's systems and that any changes are updated appropriately, also the employee’s files are maintained and are kept up to date
• To support the Consultancy in driving forward HR initiatives and processes developed for clients
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience to undertake the role:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Ideally, CIPD qualified/part qualified or have a degree in HR or another relevant subject
• Previous experience as a HR Advisor and experience of working in a standalone HR role
• Proven experience of working in a busy administrative role and some experience of carrying out business development activity would be advantageous
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills
• Analysis skills – Ability to analyse data and situations and provide recommendations
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
