A Head of Business Development is required to join one of the UK's leading, Online PropertyTech companies based in Sudbury, Suffolk. They are revolutionising the way you sell or rent property, via streamlined technology and processes, creating a technical center of excellence in the east, they have been changing the face of real estate since 2007. You will be working as part of a dynamic team, supported by a strong board of investors including founders of the Talk Talk group.
The Head of Business Development role is cross functional with a wide scope that reports directly to the CEO. It is fundamental to driving discovery and implementation of new initiatives throughout the business. The specific tasks in the role will be of a wide variety and may rapidly change due to business requirements. A rigorous approach to fully understanding the business case for each proposal is expected.
Key Responsibilities - To include, but not limited to
• Identification of new areas, processes or business offers to generate revenue and listings
• Building business cases identifying the internal resources required
• Ownership from concept to implementation, including the technical specification of any new areas or processes that the business prioritises, until a business owner is identified.
• Development of business supplier relationships across the industry to reduce costs.
• Regularly updating Line Manager with activity and progress, maintaining a detailed on going plan that shows the progress on all potential avenues and forecast KPI impacts.
• Regular submissions to Finance of the ongoing plans in an agreed format that can be used as a basis for Business Planning purposes.
• Track progress against targets on an ongoing basis and take necessary action to refocus or redefine efforts if targets are not being met.
• KPI reports for listings, expected revenue, ARPU, supplier costs, implementation of new processes, ROI of projects
• Develop a decision framework so that projects can be compared and a Return on Investment calculated
