Project Manager - Museums

This museum is embarking on an exciting period of change.

The museum is undergoing a major £6.8 million expansion and renovation project, doubling in size and creating new exhibition galleries, collections facilities and visitor amenities.
The museum service is also investigating moving to Trust status with a view to increased flexibility and opportunities ready for the opening of the new museum in late 2018.

The Project Manager (Museums) will support the Cultural Services Manager in delivering two major projects, the main museum expansion project and smaller scale refurbishment and redisplay of Abington Park Museum.

You will coordinate teams for the Museography elements of the project (Curatorial, Interpretation, Collections) and co-ordinate and collate information from across the museum project team. The role will manage the development of detailed project briefs, be responsible for writing and producing programmes, budgets, risk registers, feasibility studies and update and manage all project control documentation using the Prince2 project management framework.
