Website and SEO Assistant

IQ Glass UK are the UK’s leaders in specialist architectural glazing, specialising in the high end and exclusive property market. We are looking for an enthusiastic website & SEO assistant to work in house at our head offices in Amersham alongside our website manager and marketing team.

The Role:

As a company servicing the architectural and design community our websites are at the forefront of our business and a lot of time and energy goes into creating a well-designed and easy to use website.

Our in house website and marketing team are a fast moving, busy sector of the company and are advertising for an entry level website assistant to help update and manage our websites as well as optimize our websites for search engines using chosen keywords.

The role will include:

• Adding web pages to existing company websites, either in WordPress or a similar CMS platform
• Updating or changing existing web pages as required, including images, text and layout
• Optimising website content to drive traffic in from search engines in accordance with agreed keywords
• Research and implementation of routes to improve our websites inbound traffic
• Troubleshooting any aesthetic or functional issue on our websites on request
• SEO On-Page/Off-Page optimization
• Internal and external link optimization
• Link building, earning and purification
• Keyword and content research
• Competitor analysis
• Adding, updating and changing our pre-designed websites on request
• Working with the Marketing Team to research, develop and implement fully integrated marketing strategies
• Liaising with web designers to create new websites for new company ventures to ensure their compatibility with SEO activities and company requirements

You:

This role would suit someone with an interest in web management and SEO looking to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the field. You will be fully supported by our web manager and marketing team.

Successful candidates should have an interest in digital marketing. You must also have an interest in SEO practices and website management. The ability to multitask, work to deadlines and attention to detail are all important attributes and above all you should be keen to learn and progress with a can do attitude.

You should:

• Have good organisational skills
• Be computer literate
• Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS
• Have a general understanding of content management systems (CMS)
• Have an interest of understanding of how search engines work

Desirable skills:

• Have knowledge of WordPress CMS
• Coding knowledge html 5, CSS, Java Script and J-Query would all be a bonus
• Be experienced in working with schema. org and structured website data, such as Microdata
• Have a good understanding of domain names, DNS administration and Cloudfare
• Have an understanding of AdWords and PPC campaigns
• Have knowledge of SEO tools such as Moz and Screaming Frog SEO Spider
• Have an understanding of Google and Bing Analytics and Webmaster tools

In addition, a successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to learn quickly and take initiative. This will be an excellent opportunity for a less experienced candidate to gain valuable knowledge and experience in a fast growing discipline, working full time in an exciting and fast moving company.

Location:

IQ Glass and associated companies are based at Sky House in Amersham, HP6 6JQ.

Amersham is conveniently located outside of the M25 with excellent travel routes via the A40 and M25. Amersham also is easily accessible via train or the metropolitan tube with our offices a short walk from the station.

Regular office hours are Monday-Friday 8.30-5.30 but successful candidates will have the opportunity to discuss alternative working hours if required.
