Are you a sales and marketing analyst from an FMCG background? Do you have the passion, drive and insight skills to ensure the success of a brand loved the world over? If so, read on.

Over the past 20 years, our client has grown from a roadside stall to a brand that graces the shelves of every supermarket and is on the tip of every parent’s tongue. They are now seeking a Sales / Commercial Analyst to join them on a nine month contract.

Focusing on naturally occurring products, our client is seen as the natural option for those who want to take care of themselves and their loved ones. This focus on the natural environment and caring for yourself is prevalent across their organisation and the culture revolves around being good to the planet and yourself.

So if you are keen to employ environmentally friendly practices whilst pursuing your career in a fast-paced and exciting space, this is the role you have been waiting for.

As a Sales / Commercial Analyst, you will be tasked with playing a key role within our client’s marketing function and delivering insight for both the Sales Department and for clients.

Specifically, you will take responsibility for developing and managing the data analysis process, mapping the UK trading marketing landscape, spotting opportunities and recommending solutions that will optimise sales and profits.

Working in close partnership with the Trade Marketing Manager, you will provide data, insights and trends that will enable effective in-store marketing campaigns. In this cross-functional role, you will also seek to deliver enhanced processes and procedures within the sales function.

You will measure and analyse consumer data, identify shopper insights, challenge findings and traditional thinking and recommend solutions to maximise opportunities.

As the gatekeeper for all trade promotion processes, you will also:

- Ensure all activities meet ROI targets, business objectives and profitability guidelines

- Evaluate promotions on a pre and post campaign basis

- Prepare insights for retailers to position the company as a thought-leader for retail

- Track and manage the trade marketing spend

- Assist with customer promotions and PoS projects

Interested? If so, you must have:

- Strong sales and marketing analysis experience gained within an FMCG focused organisation

- Advanced MS Excel skills

- Polished presentation skills
- Excellent partnering skills

Strategic and results-oriented, as a Sales / Commercial Analyst, you will need to have an engaging style coupled with excellent interpersonal skills to be able to deal with stakeholders. First class communication skills are vital, as is the ability to problem-solve at a high level.

Prior experience with major UK retailers would be beneficial to your application. Experience in personal care products would also be advantageous. A Bachelor’s degree would be equally favourable
