Detailed Tasks:
- Perform lab-based post silicon validation, data collection, debug and analysis of high speed ADC / DAC IP
- Work with the design team on validation strategy and plan
- Work alongside applications group to specify the evaluation platform Test board, drivers, programmable logic, power supplies
- Gain detailed understanding of software environment and IC calibration algorithms
- Develop and automate tests using state of the art bench top equipment
- Work with design team to identify possible impact on performance and reliability
- As part of a team, complete the Evaluation Report
- Advise test engineering group for migration of IP characterisation tests into mass production
Skill set:
- Ideally, the successful candidate should have the following skills;
- 8 years or more experience in validation of digital and mixed signal semiconductor ICs
- Strong programming background (Matlab, Embedded C/C++, Python)
- Experience with high speed digital and Analog circuits and test methods Circuit analysis, noise theory and measurement, RF, sampling theory
- Experience in using bench top instrumentation and automation Real time and sampling oscilloscopes Spectrum analysers, phase noise measurement, forced temperature testing
- Knowledge of ADC and DAC performance principles and parameters
- Knowledge of PCB Design concepts
- Experience with schematic capture
- Understanding of PCB build up, materials and layout for high speed signals
- Knowledge of signal integrity concepts for high speed (multi GHz) signals
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English required)
- Comfortable working in a leading-edge environment
