Aceville Publications are one of the UK's leading and fastest growing independent magazine publishers. We are dedicated to providing high-quality specialist magazines, from the leading UK-based craft titles to gardening, health and specialist food publications. We currently publish 35 consumer and trade (B2B) magazines and produce 30 different websites. We are highly experienced in launching and sustaining growth of innovative magazines in niche areas, boasting a comprehensive portfolio which currently comprises: Crafts Beautiful, Grow Your Own, Period Ideas, Let's Knit, Great British Food, Natural Health and many more.

The purpose of this role is to produce print design for Commercial, Editorial and display advertising products that appear in the many magazines we produce.

For this role it would be helpful if you know about print production and preparing works for print.

Location:
Colchester, Essex. CO2 8JY.

Description of the role duties:
Producing print design and layout for our Commercial, Editorial/Advertorial and display advertising products daily
Producing mock-ups and concept work to assist the sales team to secure new business
Assisting the digital team by contributing creative ideas and producing designs for cross-channel campaigns
Design magazine advertisements
Understand both print and online advertising
Work directly with illustrators, photographers and other team members Have a strong grasp of print design, typography and page layout methodologies
Educational Level Required:
Bachelors Degree
Candidate must have completed formal graphic design education to Degree or HND standard
Must be conversant in following software: QuarkXpress or Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator (preferred)

Have a strong grasp of print design, typography and page layout methodologies.
Skills Required:

Have the ability to handle multiple projects and ensure the product is delivered on time
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Proven experience of working across a range of design projects
Must be detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to multi-task with strong sense of organisation and time management
