This is an essential client facing role; providing technical leadership to SharePoint projects, liaising with customers and business analysts to define requirements, create technical design documentation, managing offshore software development and configuration teams and working with customer technical teams to ensure successful implementations and the delivery of quality service.


Key responsibilities:

Ownership of the SharePoint technical estate, including internal and external installations, working with solutions architects and the wider technology team to deliver a scalable and robust platform
The design of SharePoint Solutions, ensuring that those solutions adhere to best practices, are a close fit to our roadmap/core product and can be accurately estimated against
The writing/reviewing of SharePoint solution designs and requirements documentation
Close engagement with a SharePoint development team to provide technical leadership and support during the development and testing phase
Working with customer technical teams to understand their SharePoint environment, acting as technical lead and managing SharePoint infrastructure work streams including
Own and manage client implementations, this may require some travel to facilitate installations whilst also acting as the subject matter expert in both Pre-sale and Implementation projects

Responsibilities to include:
Working closely with customers, project managers, business analysts and software developers to ensure that the right solution is delivered on time and to budget
Breaking down requirements and design documents in to technical work packages, for delivery through external software providers
Architectural ownership of internal SharePoint and influence and drive strategy formulation
Carrying out technical demonstrations of existing SharePoint solutions and contributing to sales proposals
Understanding and addressing SharePoint capabilities and limitations
Supporting customers with pre and post project queries to ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of projects

Skills and experience:
Excellent knowledge and proven experience in SharePoint 2010, 2013 and Online platforms and an understanding of "Out of the Box" integration points
Strong track record of working with Office 365
Core Microsoft Infrastructure skills such as Active Directory and Exchange
Excellent knowledge of the SharePoint development methodologies for both Online and On-Premise installations
Software Development background (C# and ASP.NET)
Experience working with Offshore Development teams
Experience with Development tools such as InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
Strong understanding of Software Design Methodologies with a focus on Agile
Microsoft SharePoint / Office 365 certifications are advantageous

The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, managing expectations and leading by example in project delivery
Excellent written and verbal communications, tailoring your approach to your (technical and non-technical) audience
