Applications & Proposal Engineer
The Role
The Applications and Proposals Engineer will be responsible for developing winning concepts and solutions for our customers. Take the lead and ownership of a project during the sales phase, particularly in the areas of application design, layout, engineering, pricing and proposal. Identify and manage supplier and sub-contractor relationships during sales phase. Work in partnership with business development / sales managers, product management and external parties and ensure value creation. Provide the technical solution and coordination for all company and third party hardware and software aspects of a solution.

Tasks:
Project leadership:
+ Responsible for design and performance elements of the project/s. Motivates and leads internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
Project execution and control:
+ Manages the controls/project team allocated to the project, defining, with key stakeholders, the scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule and detailed work allocation. Monitors and controls project cost and financials.
Projects, processes and tools:
+ Ensures project follows sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard company internal directives and procedures. Ensures projects follow external standards etc. that influence activities and targets.
Networking:
+ Manages relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, other R&D teams in Technology Centre and/or Corporate Research Centres and external relevant parties (e.g. customers, academia).
Requirements:
Essential:
+ Engineering (BEng or MEng) qualification or equivalent
+ Robotics application/integration experience: machine vision, grippers, robot programming
+ RobotStudio and AutoCAD experience strongly preferred
+ Experienced project engineer with a track record of leading engineering projects
+ Good communication skills and able to present in a professional manner
+ Creative thinker and problem solver
+ Positive attitude and team player
