Automation Design Engineer
Our client is looking to fill one current vacancy based at their busy sites in Worcester and Cannock.

You should be able to design and engineer reasonably sophisticated production automation and inspection cells for our injection moulding plants in Worcester and Cannock.
The ideal candidate should possess a positive outlook and be receptive to developing and implementing new ideas. They should be enthusiastic, with a desire to produce quality work as a reflection of their ability.
The role will involve
- Creation of structured project timelines to direct and execute design activities
- Apply engineering knowledge and practices to all tasks of innovation, development or routine problem solving
- To be accountable for the manufacturing information, database entries, work-instructions and other design outputs from project team
- Identification of and adhesion to relevant codes of practice, department procedures and recognised standards
- Negotiating with suppliers
Skills required
- Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks
- Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office products, good working knowledge of Excel
- High level of mechanical comprehension
- Excellent problem-solving ability/engineering aptitude
- Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects
- An effective communicator with multi-disciplined teams
- Create and follow through with a BOM
Salary
Circa GBP35k per annum
