To provide high quality technical enquiry and cost-effective design proposal support via telephone and email for customers using companies products.
KEY TASKS? To respond to technical enquiries concerning standard system applications, and to assess applications for oversize windows and doors, from fabricators and employees within specific timescales.? To assist customers with enquiries relating to associated products (commonly known as 'Building Physics).? To undertake preliminary static and thermal calculations in accordance with methods and design principles.? To act as lead and offer specialist guidance in customer meetings in a technical capacity.? To review customers' general arrangement drawings with respect to standard systems principles and recommendations.? To produce drawings and bespoke designs, to meet customers' requirements on an ad hoc basis.
REPORTS TO: Technical ManagerLOCATION: Milton Keynes
Experience in the fenestration industry is essential.
Essential Skills? Proven industry experience, including a practical understanding of the Building Physics relating to the workings of window, door and curtain-walling systems.? Proven customer service skills, including experience of dealing with customers via telephone, email and face-to-face and the ability to take ownership for the duration.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills.
? Excellent team work skills.? Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)? Highly proficient in CAD; specifically AutoCAD.? Practical knowledge and experience of working with Revit and BIM.
Additional/Desirable Skills? Engineering qualification
Supporting information? Lives within daily commuting distance of Milton Keynes? Must have a clean and valid UK driving licence.
