UK - Mechanical Design Engineer - Bedford - Up to GBP45K DOE
The ONE Group have an exciting opportunity to join our client in Bedford, who are a specialist manufacturer in the field of automation equipment for a range of process industries. This role is predominantly focused on Design engineering, however we would also like an engineer that has the desire to be hands on, customer facing and a forward-thinking attitude.
Based on a business park in Bedford, this client currently at twenty people, are seeking a mechanical design engineer to join their business. This is a business where everybody knows what everyone does, it has a real family feel to it, and each engineer contributes where they can. Key Duties
Mechanical Design of both new and existing products
Design of rotating fast moving equipment
Development on concept drawings per customer specifications and requirements
Work in a small team covering company wide and own projects
Follow design process from concept to testing phase
Contribute to machine build where necessary
Candidate Experience Background
2 - 3 years' experience within a mechanical design engineering role
Experience with special purpose machinery would be beneficial
Experience designing rotating equipment is essential
Software package used would be solid edge, however all software packages considered
A self-motivating, driven and ambitious attitude, willingness to learn
Good leadership skills
Good communication skills and commercial awareness
