Our client a globally renowned Consultancy Group is seeking ambitious Risk Managers to work in their regional office in Birmingham where you will be supporting the various teams in London and the South-East to work on design and consultancy projects within the rail sector. The team is involved in some of the UK's most complex and stimulating projects primarily providing Commercial and Procurement Services to Rail Infrastructure projects.

Our clients Risk Management team work on major multi-billion pound Projects, Programmes and Portfolios of works, working with industry leading clients on world class projects. They are looking for self-starting and motivated consultants to join our high performing team of risk and value analysts, managers and consultants.

Education/Experience Required;

- Degree educated with previous risk management experience including evidence of embedding & delivering risk management on major programmes and portfolios
- Experience in the application of quantitative risk analysis (QRA) techniques and tools.
- Experience of using QRA tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis (previously 'Pertmaster') and Acumen Risk.
- Evidence of ability to work effectively in a programme management environment together with demonstrable understanding of programme management approach and controls *************>Proven experience in setting up and managing teams and the application of innovative risk management techniques at programme level and/or in a Programme Management Office (PMO) environment, implementing risk management in an integrated manner with other programme controls disciplines.
- Robust understanding of construction contracts.
- Evidence of previous experience in defining and implementing risk management strategy within major client organisations and specifically at programme level.
- Appreciation of significant issues facing major programmes
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and facilitation skills.
- Evidence of and ability to articulate collaborative working style and consulting behaviours.
- Membership of a professional body (e.g. APM, IRM).Knowledge of OGC MSP, MOP & MoR desirable.
- Experience of facilitation of Value Management workshops desirable.
- Ideally experience in working for a large consultancy business and evidence of work winning, marketing skills or ambassadorial skills
- Ideally experience of team management - line management, team leadership, financial management.
