National AccountManager - Industrial Distribution

Industry - Precision Engineering, supplying to automotive, aerospace, oil & gas

Field & Office based (Office - North Leicestershire)

Basic cGBP40,000 + Bonus + CAR + Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experiencedNational AccountManager within Industrial Distribution, to join our industry leading client in this newly created role based at their offices in North Leicestershire.

Reporting to the UK Sales Director, key responsibilities include -

- Devising the strategy for the Channel
- Management of the commercial relationship with existing large Industrial Buying Groups (eg. Troy/ THS Tools) and Independent Industrial Distributor Accounts
- Meeting with key stakeholders to develop existing and potential new business opportunities
- Maintaining revenue and GP of the Channel ensuring profitability in line with annual targets
- Seeking out new business within the Industrial Distribution Channel
- Project managing the implementation of any joint ventures
- Collaborating with internal teams, eg. marketing, external sales, internal sales, senior management team
- Be the interface between the company and the market
- Providing monthly reporting
- Attend trade shows

It is anticipated that the role will be 2/3 days in the office with 2/3 days out meeting with clients.

Performance will be measured on sales growth of the Channel.

Bonus is calculated in line with performance (10% minimum) increasing with a growth multiplier, paid quarterly.

Experience & Attributes required -

- Previous sales experience within Industrial Distribution sector, preferably Air Tools, Burs, Abrasives
- Understanding of Distribution market
- Experience of working with large Industrial Buying Groups (eg. Troy/THS)
- Outstanding communication & presentation skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Strategic
- Consultative sales approach
- Energetic self-starter, ambitious, proactive
- Ability to work within a dynamic and changing environment
