Your main focus will be translating customer orders taken both face to face and via telephone and e-mail, into coherent and detailed action plans that can be uploaded into the company bespoke system for production. You will need to develop a number of relationships with key figures within the customers and their associated 3rd parties to ensure a strong culture of open and honest communication.

You will also be dealing with internationally based colleagues, especially a customer service centre in Hong Kong so an awareness of timezones and cultural differences will be important to build strong relationships and ensure your queries are handled quickly and efficiently.

You will organise and conduct regular meetings with the customer to ensure visibility with them, possibility on their site to discuss day to day details of the accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring the customer orders are uploaded to the company's bespoke system and that all details are passed onto the relevant department for immediate attention. It will be your responsibility to work closely with these departments to ensure tasks are undertaken in a timely manner to ensure the production of this order is running to time. The information you present to these department is critical in getting a quick and accurate response for the customers so your accuracy and complete understanding of the customer's needs are key.

Strong communication both written and verbal will be essential as is your ability to work with the customers to enhance existing products, use new techniques or even reduce costs.Whilst not in a sales role, it is imperative you have a commercial outlook to increase revenues or even generate new revenues through identifying new opportunities within the account. There is significant opportunities to expand revenues within the 3rd party customers by building good relationships. On a weekly, monthly and annual basis you will be responsible for generating reports for the Sales Manager and Sales Director to form part of their reporting pack. You will be a systems-savvy individual who has a flair and confidence for using bespoke systems and be technically minded to utilise these bespoke systems to their full potential.
