Trainee Accountant

Our client is seeking both A-Level educated students and graduates to embark on an exciting career and take their first steps with a pioneering business.
As a skilled provider of audit, accounting, tax and business services including outsourced finance functions and payroll, our client is an Accountancy Age Top 100 UK Accounting Practice that is currently experiencing significant growth. As such, they are now looking for a Trainee Accountant to join their organisation.
Our client believes that their employees are their most important asset and as such, provides superb coaching in a nurturing and supportive environment.
You'll have the chance to increase your experience as you receive fully funded study through the firm to gain either your AAT qualification or ACA/ACCA, depending on your education and experience. This will prepare you to make those valuable first steps towards a rewarding career in accounting.
As a Trainee Accountant, you'll be responsible for helping to provide a high quality accounting service for clients.
You will support and accompany senior staff on client audits at client site and prepare materials and documentation to assist in the auditing process.
Preparing client accounts, you'll assist with the preparation of VAT returns and budgets, as well as maintaining a variety of records.
You'll also directly liaise with clients to gain information regarding their accounts, so a great telephone manner is key.
As part of your role, you may be required to travel to client sites to assist with outsourced accounts or project-related work.
Interested? Whilst no experience is necessary, a strong desire and proven drive towards a career in accountancy is essential. Therefore to be considered, you must have:
- A good level of IT literacy, including experience of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A-Level qualifications (or equivalent)
Resilient and enthusiastic, as a Trainee Accountant, you must be a passionate team player with strong communication skills. You'll also be a quick thinker with a logical and analytical approach.
