Senior Finance Assurance Accountant
Would you like to gain a strategic overview of the Shared Services Function? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Finance Assurance Accountant at our site in Preston - Channel Way.
As a Senior Finance Assurance Accountant, you will be managing the delivery of a wide ranging Financial Control Framework testing programme, providing support to the finance community across Shared Services, leading improvement initiatives reporting to senior stakeholders, and supporting the business with Fraud Prevention activities
This role will provide you with the ideal opportunity to work independently to tight deadlines and work closely with senior stakeholders in the Shared Services business.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Finance Assurance Accountant will involve:
Facilitating the Financial Control Framework implementation across the business, assisting with the Risk and control Matrix reviews, Control Owner Self-Assessment activities, and issue resolution
Assisting with the development of the Financial Control Framework risk assessments, testing strategy, and timetable; working as part of the assurance team to undertake required Financial Control Framework testing in the Shared Services locations across the UK
Providing leadership and guidance to the finance and non-finance function ensuring all aspects of financial control are implemented and monitored
Working across Shared Services to assist with the completion, consolidation and submission of the bi-annual Operational Assurance Statement returns
Working with the Finance Director, Shared Services completing required activities to implement Operational Framework Policies, including Fraud Prevention and Risk management activities
Working with the Finance Manager, Assurance, and Shared Services management committee members creating and consolidating the information presented at the Shared Services Audit Review Board
Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Finance Assurance Accountant:
Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or relevant equivalent
Ability to travel within the UK is required
Experience of external or internal audit would be an advantage
Experience of leading a team would be desirable
Stakeholder engagement experience would be advantageous
Experience of working for a large corporation would be beneficial
