Accounts Assistant Manager
The Role:
Our client, a forward thinking, growing Practice is seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to support the Directors in the General Accounts and Tax department. This will include preparing Accounts for clients, helping with the preparation of client's tax returns and computations and provision of client payroll services.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and responsibility of Accounts of a wide foray of clients, who are sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Support in the preparation of client supporting file with lead schedules, supporting information and all required documentation
- Responsible for the transfer of client knowledge between Accounts, Tax, Payroll and Practice Matters
- Review of accounts files and VAT return preparation work undertaken by other members of the team
- Regular review of workflow and ensuring that, where possible, all statutory accounts filing deadlines and met
- Responsible for overseeing company secretarial work through the preparation of annual returns and regular review filing deadlines
- Preparation of management accounts from client's record's
- Regular, appropriate communication with clients through emails, letters and face to face meetings
- Responsible for dealing with ad hoc enquiries and provision of payroll/other accountancy/tax/office support as required
- Managing a team of 3 people
- Preparation of income tax and corporation tax computations from client's accounts.
Person Specification:
- A competent user of Sage and Microsoft Packages
- Part Qualified Accountant backed with experience gained in an accountancy practice
- Excellent communication skills - regular contact with clients, over phone and face-to-face.
Hours, Pay & Benefits:
- Monday - Friday 37.5 hours
- GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 per annum
- 22 days' holiday + 8 bank holidays
