Are you passionate about taking clients bespoke ideas and formulating the end product?Our client is an up and coming player in bespoke cosmetic & personal care development and due to sustained success and recent investment, they have an opening for an experienced formulation specialist who can formulate varied projects. Their aim is to provide a bespoke cosmetic and personal care design service to large portfolio of clientsThe Formulation Specialist will assist in development and delivery of superior quality formulations achieving successful market performance, from ideation, formulation process, through new material selection, specification testing and documentationCore Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with key clients and raw materials suppliers
- Be the first point of contact for all Technical & Formulation queries
- Develop new products that meet clients expectations and business needs, taking into consideration critical paths and R&D Budgets
- Understand Global and EU Cosmetic Regulations and Compliance issues, and cover all legal requirements are covered for the formulated products
- Keep accurate records of product development
- Costings of New product development within clients budget requirements
- You will have sound knowledge of formulation and "hands on" formulation development in agrochemical, detergent, cosmetics , personal care products, topical products or similar, physical testing experience of these products would also be beneficial.
Ideal Person:
- "Jack of all trades" in the formulating world. Be able to take a client spec from conception to end product
- Passionate Creative Formulator - has ideas and is not afraid to use them - pioneer in the design of bespoke products
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Able to work independently
- Someone who is keen to develop their career with a potential directorship to share their love of formulating
- Minimum of 8+ years Formulation experience in an array of industries to include, cosmetics, personal and household products
- 'blue skies' thinker
- A degree or equivalent
