The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the company's existing reference datasets, which will enable the team to identify mutations of clinical significance. The ideal candidate should have:
*A BSc, MSc or PhD in a related field, eg Computer Sciences or Life Sciences
*Excellent knowledge of databases, tools and resources for clinical bioinformatics, including Ensemble, HGMS and locus specific databases
*Scripting skills eg, Python, Perl, Bash
*Strong knowledge of ontologies, particularly those concerned with the human and clinical utility
*An ordered and systematic approach to the maintenance of existing reference datasets
*The ability to write code to automate routine tasks and develop analytical pipelines
Responsibilities associated with this position:
*Overseeing the maintenance of the existing reference data sets to ensure accuracy
*Devising automated processes to incorporate full data sets or curation of databases to extract relevant information
