As Product Manager you will be working as part of the marketing team. The role supports implementing and driving key category initiatives towards achievement of key business priorities and sales targets.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Category Management & Planning: Contribute to development of and implementation of Category plans, driving category objectives towards achievement of Annual Operating Plans. Review and report on key performance indicators.
- Customer planning: Interpretation of product fit into trade segments.
- Budget Control: Manage relevant marketing budget, tracking spend effectiveness and determining appropriate spend levels.
- Analysis: Ability to manipulate and analyse consumer and market data, and develop recommendations for action as a result. Analyse monthly product category sales performance.
- Promotions: Assists with development and execution of consumer and trade promotions, and measurement of effectiveness. Including creation of briefs, and day-to-day liaison with pre-approved agencies.
- Internal Communication: Work closely and communicate regularly and effectively with Sales, Consumer Centre & Customer Marketing colleagues to execute key category objectives.
- Team involvement: Full integration and involvement in broad marketing team, including active attendance and input at team meetings
Person Specifications:
- Experience in product marketing in an established Consumer/ B2B Marketing function / E-commerce/digital marketing
- Evidence of project management abilities and experience
- Self-motivated individual with can-do attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Degree or equivalent level qualification in Business or Marketing
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- Experience in print and or paper industry would be advantageous
