What is the role?

We have a new exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our creative, forward thinking and progressive Marketing department.

As Marketing Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing marketing communications, assets and tools across the commercial units at Southampton Football Club, with particular focus on Halo (our catering business), St Mary's Training Centre and the Saints Foundation.

You will work closely with the Head of Marketing, Marketing Executives, agencies and other 3rd parties to implement the marketing strategy, engage customers and maximise commercial growth across departments and brands.

What are we looking for?

For this Marketing Manager role we are looking for candidates with experience of working within a high profile marketing department with exposure to and awareness of marketing, branding and media relations. You will need to be a candidate who thinks and performs commercially and manage campaigns from beginning to end.

You must be someone who can deliver multiple tasks within required deadlines and be a strong relationship manager, both with your subordinates and with internal and external stakeholders.

The competencies which are required include:

Experience Essential:
* Experience of working effectively in a high profile marketing department with exposure to, and awareness of marketing, branding and media relations.
* Experience operating at Marketing Manager level driving, challenging, delivering and being accountable for multiple projects across departments.
* Experience in creating and delivering promotional events.

Experience Desirable
* Experience in major sports or football would be advantageous.

Qualifications (incl. certifications) Essential
* Ideally educated to degree standard.

Skills Essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Think and perform commercially, negotiate effectively whilst ensuring the quality of the end product,
* Deliver original, inspirational and quality work.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* A successful track record of delivering results in line with budgets.
* Exceptional campaign management skills.
* Ability to think strategically and plan tactfully.
* Influential communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with various personalities at various levels within the Company.
* Hands-on approach and proven experience of managing and motivating a team.
