Training Assistant, part-time
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a part-time Training Assistant. Three days a week.
The role will report to the Training Manager and the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of basic computer and internet training for their clients.
The role requires the candidate to travel to clients sites in Harrow and Kingston in London and also Birmingham as well as at our base in Milton Keynes. The training courses are from 10am-3pm the client will obviously require you to be on site before to set up the venue, prepare laptops as well as registering the attendees.
The role is to support adults to feel capable, confident and safe using computers and the internet. The companies aim is to provide a learning experience which enables them to embrace the digital world.
The training is delivered in groups of 5-10 individuals, to a range of audiences and regularly includes older adults, as well as Housing Association tenants. The workshop sessions are relaxed and informal and can include a variety of basic computer skills; including searching the internet, saving files, using tablets and socialising online.
The role will involve supporting the Training Manager whilst they deliver the training sessions, ensuring that all of the learners are engaged and helping them when assistance is required. This will include speaking to each individual to ensure that they are getting the most out of the session and are meeting their own learning goals. You will need to work well with the Training Manager, but also have the ability to adjust your approach for the learners, training content and objectives of the session.
