A major FMCG food manufacturer is currently seeking an Interim Specifications Technologist to cover a period of major retailer launches. This project will likely last until June. Retailer specifications systems experience is essential for this role. The rate for this role will be 5x days at GBP250 per day all in or 3 days at GBP360 per day all in based upon level of experience. One day per week will be required on site, the remainder from home.
Interim Specifications Technologist responsibilities include:
- Produce timely and accurate descriptive specification documents in the agreed format
- Produce and maintain accurate photographic detail of specifications, and include in specification documents issued to production
- Manage specification details on relevant databases to ensure that specification details are up to date at all times
- Provide advice and guidance on specifications to all staff as required
- Liaising with suppliers to collate all raw material and packaging information required by the business.
- The provision of finished product specifications and related documentation to customers.
- Responding to internal and external queries on food safety and quality related matters.
- Maintaining and developing all food safety & quality systems and databases.
- Liaising with and supporting other functions such as Production, Procurement and NPD, in all areas of food safety and quality.
You will be a Specifications Technologist / Interim Specifications Technologist and be available to start by 6th / 13th March.
