Sustainable Drainage Systems Ltd
Due to continued growth across all sites, we have a requirement for a full-time IT Support Technician.
You will ideally be a recent graduate and must demonstrate a clear understanding of the IT support function and preferably have studied an IT related subject in further education, or have experience working in the IT support industry. You will be interacting with users directly so it's essential to have good communication skills.
A professional approach is essential to the work which is often demanding and time-sensitive.
The primary responsibilities will be as follows:
- Act as first point of contact for IT enquiries and requests from internal staff
- Offering 1st & 2nd line support to all sites and users remotely, over the phone and desk side
- Troubleshooting and configuring Windows 10 desktops/laptops to standardised builds
- Undertaking software installations and upgrades
- Maintaining IT asset registry & helpdesk
- Implement a firm but positive, helpful, and proactive approach to system support and change management
- Providing support to the IT Manager where necessary, during upgrades/projects etc.
- Out of hours work in line with maintenance requirements
Required Skills:
- Network troubleshooting
- Good working knowledge of VMWare, Veeam, Windows Server 2012/2016
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Active Directory Administration
- Knowledge of Fixed Line and Mobile Telephony Systems
- Full clean driving licence
