- Salary: GBP9,904 per annum
- Hours: 21 hours a week (three days)
- Permanent position
As Assistant Shop Manager you will be supporting the Store Manager to drive sales and motivate a team of volunteers in order to maximise income. Working closely together you will need to bring your creative and flair to encourage donations and maintain high standards of store presentation.
In the Store Managers absence you'll be responsible for running the store, so you must have confidence and skills to lead the team of volunteers and have experience of dealing with customers.
Responsibilities;
- To supervise and encourage a team of volunteers, maximise their potential through continuous learning
- To assist in the recruitment and development of volunteers and the management of the team
- Take responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager
- Assist in the management of all aspects of stock collection and preparation, ensuring sufficient levels are in store
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills both internally and externally
- Work to meet required performance and standard targets
To be successful in this position you will have/be;
- Proven retail or customer service experience (supervisor / team leader or / assistant manager level)
- Strong numerical skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Motivational leadership skills
