Main purpose
Supporting the head of buying in the development , implementation & management of category strategy to ensure customer focused product ranges including new brand and product development.
Overall responsibility for optimizing sales of a product category & improve margins and profitability.
Skills Required
* Proven negotiation skills
* Ability to prioritise with excellent project management skills & ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
* Must be a strong team player with leadership qualities & ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Must have a strong work ethic & remain professional at all times.
* Experience of sourcing
* Has the ability to think strategically and translate this into operational actions that deliver sales growth and margin improvement.
