Mortgage Underwriter

We have a great new role for a Mortgage Underwriter to be based in Basingstoke. You will be responsible for underwriting Buy to let mortgage applications within an assigned mandate.

Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage Underwriter

- Underwrite mortgage application within own lending mandate
- Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications from receipt of decision in principle through to offer
- Assist the completion team with post offer queries
- Ensure a first class service
- Make decisions and recommend appropriate action on applications outside of specified company criteria
- Build relationships with the processing team and the external Business development team

Experience required for the role of Mortgage Underwriter

- Experience of holding a mandated position as a Mortgage Underwriter
- Buy to let experience or bridging experience would be preferred however residential lending backgrounds will also be considered
- Ability to manually underwrite mortgage applications
- Ability to manage mortgage applications from inception through to completion

Salary: Up to GBP35,000 plus benefits and annual bonus

Hours: Monday - Thursday 9-5:30pm and Friday 9-5pm
