SUPPLY CHAIN & LOGISTICS MANAGER
An exciting opportunity exists for a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join a leading household company based in Milton Keynes.

DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY:
*Develop and deliver Planning Systems and Processes through continual improvement of the S&OP process within the business. Governance of the planning cycle which will engage with Key Stakeholders to develop and implement plans to deliver operational excellence
*Management and development of the supply chain function covering Master Scheduling, Planning, Supplier relations & Logistics. Monitor the success of the department through effective KPIs to show improved effectiveness
*Liaise with Sales and Customer Service in order to satisfy customer needs and with production staff, to assist with level loading of the plant. Provide excellent customer service with regard to the supply of the right parts, in the correct quantities, at the right time. To include delivery performance measurement. Drive initiatives to improve delivery performance and be the voice of the customer with regard to delivery issues
*Develop commodity business activity plans in line with agreed targets on cost reduction, quality and delivery
*Manage the rationalisation of supplier base and introduce supplier development programmes for key suppliers
*Manage cost down and continuous improvement programmes in purchasing organisation including make or buy and non-production items
*Actively develop the use of tendering processes to locate and secure the best possible sources of supply
*Ensure systems are in place to effectively manage established supplier contracts
*Actively promote world class purchasing standards and techniques for the business with a focus on continuous improvement
*Control inventory levels throughout the business. Management of inventories in line with business plan with minimising obsolete inventory through the control of build vs. demand
*Drive talent development strategies including Succession Planning, Performance and career development processes
THE CANDIDATE:
*People management and leadership
*Sales & Operations Planning experience
*Ability to think strategically with an innovative approach to problem solving
*Expertise with ERP, MRP systems
*Customer Service focussed attitude
*Proven analytical & problem solving skills
*Computer literate with advanced excel skills
*Highly numerate & methodical
*Good communication skills
*Strong personality that is capable and willing to make decisions
*Experience in development, deployment and delivery of KPI in line with business goals
*Knowledge and implementation of risk management
*Understanding of commercial terms
