Transport Planner required by a Freight Forwarder in Birmingham - GBP23,000

GBP20,000 - GBP23,000
24 days holiday + Bank Holidays
Monday - Friday
The Role:
As Transport Coordinator you will be liaising with Drivers on a daily basis ensuring that they are running on time and you must seal with any problems as they arise.
You will be working with the Transport Planners ensuring all runs are allocated to the correct Drivers with all required documents.
You will be required to liaise with sub-contractors on a daily basis.
It is the Transport Coordinators responsibility to fully brief and de-brief all drivers.
You are required to monitor driver's tachographs to ensure they work within WTD constraints.
All documents must be updated and accurately stored.
Ad hoc office duties will be required.
The Requirements:
Few years Transport Coordinator experience
General Haulage background preferred
UK haulage experience desired
Strong communication and IT skills
